BANYAN HIDEAWAY

Banana silk fiber and raffia, dyed and manipulated to represent part of a complex Banyan tree ecosystem. A network of interconnected aerial roots grow downwards, merging together to form a tangled, woody exoskeleton which gradually strangles its host.
The vast canopy of dark green leaves block the harsh sun, give shelter during heavy rain and create a tranquil sanctuary for monkeys, bats, birds, and insects, all vital for sustaining nature's balance.
