Nesting Flower Bowls
|
These beautiful flower bowls nest inside each other to create 3D flower blooms which can be used as decorative pieces or as functional bowls; they are both pretty and practical and as they are reversible too, they can be displayed in lots of variations.
In this live and interactive online class Claire demonstrates the techniques she uses to create a single bowl, embellishing it with a combination of quilting, embroidery stitches and thread sketching. The same techniques are used to create all the flowers, although some are more difficult to make than others. Beginners may wish to start with the poppy or hibiscus flowers, but participants can make any of the designs they wish and everyone can ask questions and chat throughout the demonstration.
The whole class is fun and informal.
