Nesting Flower Bowls
This class is available as:
- an in person class at your venue
- a live online class via zoom
- a live 'demo-talk' via zoom
- suitable for all ages and levels of experience
These beautiful flower bowls nest inside each other to create 3D flower blooms which can be used as decorative pieces or as functional bowls; they are both pretty and practical and as they are reversible too, they can be displayed in lots of variations.
In this class you will learn the techniques I use to create a single bowl, and then embellish it with any combination of quilting, embroidery stitches and thread sketching.
At an in-person class you you can choose to make a cool blue water lily, a festive poinsettia, a summery sunflower, a striking red poppy, a pretty daisy or a beautiful purple hibiscus and create as many bowls as you wish to make a full bloom.
You will receive the pattern for the flower bloom you choose to make, but in addition you will also learn how to draft a bowl of your own design and then resize it to make a series that will nest beautifully.
In the live online class Claire guides you through the process to make a sunflower bowl, but you can use this knowledge to make whichever bowl you wish.
Additional patterns are available directly from Claire.
